Charlotte has worked as a clinical psychologist in both the public and private sectors for nearly 20 years. This has included work at the Women’s and Children’s Hospital and the Adelaide North East Division of General Practice. Charlotte commenced private practice work in November 2006 with Dr Michele Murphy Psychology Services.

Charlotte has a particular interest in the treatment of anxiety, depression, grief and stress related issues and she has extensive experience working with adults. Charlotte can easily relate to clients from a variety of backgrounds and is a strong verbal communicator with a ‘down to earth’ approach. She believes in tailoring treatment to suit the needs of her clients and working in collaboration with her clients towards their goals. Charlotte draws on various evidence-based therapy models in her clinical practice including: cognitive behavioural therapy, narrative therapy, clinical hypnosis and acceptance and commitment therapy.

Charlotte has worked at the Adelaide North East Division of General Practice where she held the position of Senior Clinician and was involved in the supervision of other clinicians, as well as providing group and individual therapy.

Charlotte has been a guest lecturer at the University of Adelaide’s Grief and Palliative Care Counselling Unit where she has presented seminars on Mood Disorders, Cognitive Behaviour Therapy and Acceptance and Commitment Therapy. She has also been involved in providing Mental Health Skills Training to General Practitioners and other health professionals in South Australia and interstate through her work with CM Consulting and the Adelaide North East Division of General Practice.  She has Board Approved Supervisor Status with the Australian Psychological Society.

2002 - First Class Honours in Psychology, The University of Adelaide

2004 - Master of Psychology (Clinical), The University of Adelaide

2004 - Registered Psychologist, SA Psychological Board

2010 - Diploma of Clinical Hypnosis (Two Years)
