Clinical Psychologist
Margaret has extensive experience, spanning over 20 years, working with people from diverse communities (in schools and psychology/clinical settings). She has worked with children across a wide spectrum of psychological and educational needs. This educational work has inspired her interest in psychology, and the prevention and treatment of psychological challenges in children, adolescents and adults. Since studying psychology at the University of Adelaide, Margaret has qualified for Clinical College Membership as a clinical psychologist. Margaret is bilingual and happy to assist both English and Polish speaking clients.
Margaret’s clinical experience to date has included the assessment of cognitive and emotional functioning of a diverse range of clients, as well as diagnoses and treatment of varied psychological issues. She is skilled at treating psychological difficulties including: anxiety, depression, stress, relationship/interpersonal difficulties, low motivation, self-esteem and self-confidence, grief, adjustment difficulties, post-traumatic stress, obsessive-compulsive presentations, substance dependence, and complications related to past childhood adversities and/or abuse.
Margaret is very respectful of all clients and has a focus on the unique circumstances, strengths and potential of the individual. She uniquely tailors her evidence-based psychological strategies to meet the needs of each client. Margaret uses a range of trialled and approved psychology models, including: cognitive-behavioural, motivational, interpersonal, and acceptance and commitment therapies, as well as mindfulness practices.
